    I'm having a problem with my pc running slow. I ran my NOD32 its found nothing neither did spybot. When I run Nero my mouse looks like it froze but when I move it around, it highlights all the different tabs while the mouse stays in the one place. When I do get something to burn it start off ok but slow to a near halt after a bit. This happened before and I wiped the pc and started again.
    Has anyone any other idea's
    Thanks

    Is the problem confined to Nero ?

    A few generic suggestions;
    Check the system RAM with memtest+

    Update the systems drivers to the most recent official releases if they have not been done so.

    Check the event viewer for anything flagged.

    Try MS Windows Defender and do a full system scan.

    Check the cables for the DVD writer, replace them & see what happens.

    Update Nero & the firmware of the DVD writer.

    The Processor seems fine. Memtest passes fine too. The problem is not only with nero unfortunately all buring program are the same. I think it down to the hard drive because when I'm transfering to a partition it goes so slow. The only other thing I can think of that I done recently was apply a patch to up the tcp limit. I undid the patch but this had no affect. link to the patch below

    Thanks again
