First of all, I hope this quetsion hasn't already been asked, I read through the FAQ(which was very good) and I didn't gome across this question.

Today I got a creative zen vision:M to replace my ****** up ipod (There is always sumthing wrong with them). Of course all my music is in the itune format which won't work on the zen. In fact only about 10% of my songs will work on media player and therefore on my zen, the rest aren't recognized by my zen. How to I overcome this?

Thanks for your help in advance.

    Benzino,
As you probably know the iPod mainly uses a .aac files. Creative cannot use this format. You need to get the files into .mp3 or .wma file formats.

I have checked the Creative software and it does not convert .aac files. I believe iTunes does convert most formats to .aac. I'm sure iTunes will allow you convert .aac to .mp3 and this will work with your Creative.

    I hope this helps.

    Benzino,
iTunes defintley converts all apple formats to .mp3, I tested this this morning .

Go into iTunes Preferences then advanced tab and then the import tab, and change the importing mode back to the MP3 mode you like.

Now select the tracks that you want to change back, and go to the Advanced menu. There is an item called "convert selection to MP3".

Try this. The real plus is that you do not have to pay for extra software as iTunes is free.

I will try that as soon as I go home Tommy, thanks.

Thanks Bard as well for your help, that software might come in handy in the future.

One more question, another noobish one. I downloaded the iriveter(i think thats is its name) to convert my SAW DVD onto my zen. It had converted it into 3 different avi files. They all worked fine so i opened up the video converter program that came with the zen. This is meant to convert avi, mpeg, etc. video files so that they will work on the zen. I selected the 3 SAW avi files and clicked convert. After about 2 seconds it crashed, and it does this all the time. The coverter that came with the zen will convert other videos although they were WMV files. I think it is the iriveter, as it doesn't mention converting videos for the zen, only for the ipod, etc.

Should I use another video converter insteadof the iriverter?

    Thanks again for your help.:)

I find iRiverter fine. Why, though, do you have 3 files for SAW instead of just the one? And why would you need to convert the files after they are produced by iRiverter - the Zen Vision M may well just play them if you copy them directly over.

    Sorry about the late reply.

Bard, your right, i don't need to convert after they are produced by iRiverter:o ,am new at this. I also didn't configue the iRiverter a that was the reason it was producing three seperate files. Thanks for your help.

However i am still having trouble with it. The iRiverter converted SAW 2 with no trouble what so ever. However i have tried to convert reservoir dogs 3 times(on different settings), but when i ran the avi files, it didn't play the video, only the audio. I tried to copy it onto my zen anyway but it wouldn't because it was an "unsupported file type", even though it is an avi file. This is confusing me as i ran it on the exact same settings as i did when i converted Saw 2.

Is it just the movie? Please slap me if the whole problem is just my stupidity.

P.S. I have just noticed that the mplayer keeps crashing when i click preview on every dvd. Maybe my problem is that my iRiverter is corrupt.

Try something else like Win AVI perhaps. Maybe it's an encryption problem with the second dvd. Are you converting directly from the disk? If so then try ripping it to the hard drive first with dvd decrypter.

That happens to me too (and, I imagine, to pretty-much every user of the program). I just preview it in PowerDVD or something instead and figure out there what chapter and audio track I want to convert and set those in iRiverter then.

I don't know why you're having such problems specifically with Reservoir Dogs, sorry.
