    as a small nation ,were the biggest for cinema in europe . per ratio
    i myself love film and collecting. ive got the auld betamax player still lol.
    laserdisc player and a few 8 and 16mm spools knocking around the gaf.
    i was for a while trying to get a film club going ,and show a film in a pub in town or somthing.
    i never got it kick started with work commitments etc etc
    but i want to try get somthing done this summer.
    if anyone has any ideas please email me.
    sci fi horror classic cinema . i collect them all.
    i have many friends with large collections .and had a movie finding service going for a whlile. but had no time.
    just wanted to know what peeps taught.

    I think this is an excellent idea. I'd love a place where you could discuss movies with other likeminded people. You could show a different type of movie each week and as long as it was well publicized(flyers and the internet etc.) I think you could get a good turnout. If you decide to go ahead with the idea and need some extra help give us a shout and Ill see what I can do. I have a pretty big collection myslef also.

    ps I still have an old betamax myself:D

    You're right there. We do love movies. I wonder why. Perhaps it has something to do with people trying to escape from reality.. hrm.

    As for me, i'm a movie whore. Out and out whore. Yes. If I can I'd spend my whole life watching 'em, mainly because I like to consider myself as a writer, and I love to see a good story being told.

    But perhaps that might account for the fact we love movies. Years ago people would tell stories. Before the cinema. Before TV. Before Radio. Stories was the form of entertainment. The method has changed, but the principle has not.

    i just got news of ransom 22min extra mins laserdisc only released in japan.
    i could never understand these jap only releases????
    surly america would be the main market.
