How did I know, as soon as I saw the comment by Shimp there'd be something said about the damn frames!!

Frames aside, there not really up for criticism, tis the photos.

Well, there the only frame that I took to... Do you recommend any other type of bordering/framing which would outline them better? I use Photoshop Elements.. lost PS7 on last format!

You'll be dreaming about my frames tonight I'm tellin ya!

1px Black line around edge of photo, with 49px white boarder around that. alternate the black and white in order to suit the photo.

or just drop a photoshop layer with your name onto the end of the shot. That's what I do & it cuts out all the framing nonsense.

I like the 3rd and 4th, specially the 4th. The others are nothing special to me. The 2nd has the horizont twisted, which in my opinion looks horrible.

I too like 4, and if I had to choose a favourite that'd be it.

I've seen shots like #5 working really well in the past, but this shot would probably benefit from a) better lighting and b) lack of the foreground stick, which is just a distraction IMO. I'm picturing some flowing water through the rocks, and in my mind's eye it looks lovely.

None of them really grab me. I best one is the 4th, but even with that, what's the subject or focus really supposed to be?

    Here's my 2 cents:

1 - Good angle, would have been better if the bird was to the right a bit more though (rule of thirds).

2 - Horizon tilt - needs straightening. Good exposure.

3 - It might just be my laptop but this shot looks underexposed along the tree line.

4 - Nice composition but (I think) the focus is wrong. The DOF is too shallow so the bottom appears out of focus. Also, the branches at the top right and left are distracting, you should clone them out.

5 - Agree with Beans, the stick in the foreground is distracting, and the shot could benefit with something else going on like flowing water.

In regards to the frames, I prefer a simple white border but each to their own I guess. You could at least keep the frames consistent across all your photos.
