Photos scanned onto CD - where?

I have a back catalogue of old developed photos (but no negatives) that I want to have scanned and put on CD for safe keeping and so that I can put them online for a laugh.

Can anyone recommend somewhere that could do this?
Looking for decent quality scans so they look like good digital photos, but also I'm not willing to pay through the nose so somewhere economical.

    Anyone?

If you have quite a few to do, why not buy, borrow reasonable scanner, and do it yourself.
