nokia 6280

Hey there,

just a bit of a random thought but i'm looking to buy a new phone and there seems to be a buzz around the nokia 6280. has anyone heard any negative reviews on it? so far i've only come across back orders for the phone because its not available here yet.
since the phone is 3G, i'm off to london in few days so if i buy it over there on the 3 network will it work over here on 3? or alternatively if i buy it online locked to 3 will it work here if i buy a 3 simcard here?
if anyone could help out i'd appreciate it cos my brick of a phone has got to go asap!!

The March issue of CPW has the 6280 shown as available now with 3Ireland. I am thinking getting it myself.

Just to let you guys know this is a BB5 series Nokia. ie same locking system as the 6680,6630, N70 etc.

so thats the worst bit, if you buy it on 3 it cannot be unlocked for ages like the 6680 and 6630.
anyway if anyone knows where to get a good deal on one sim free please post it up

ok so for the technologically challenged here whats cpw??

and if i buy it on 3 in the uk.. it wont need unlocking here will it? because its still 3 right?? probably a stupid question but i dont want to blow all my money on a phone that wont work here!

cpw=carphone warehouse

a 3uk phone will have to be unlocked. they're different networks
