    full ring 3/6 PLO.

Hero has 600 or so in the SB with AcAh9h9c.
    Villains :
Moron (1200) - he is a moron, he check called full pot on flop and turn with a J-high flush draw, hit on the river and checked (Vs me and my set). I checked the river and he wins the pot. He has done many moronic things since then, yet the deck continues to strike him in the face
    Shorty (150) - just a token shorty.

    Preflop
About 1 million players limp in, I just complete, and the BB checks.

Flop (40 or something like that)
    8h 5d 3h.
I check planning to come over the top all-in.
Checked to moron who pots it (40), 1 fold and shorty goes all-in (150 total), now I decide to just call, planning to call if moron (or any1 else) goes all in.

    Good or bad?

Hmm is moron likely too commit his entire stack(well half of it anyway) on a bare non-nut flush draw or two pair? If so get it all in against him.

you're only a dog against a set, but even a moron donkey could have a set here. I like the call then if he just calls, you push the turn with anything.

so, do I fold if moron pushes? I wouldn't, but that's making an assumption he has a donley hand and not a legit hand.

Cant fold now - having to call 450 for a total pot of
    40 + 150 + 150 + 600 = 940. Even my nut flush is good enough here, let alone the Aces and 9s.

    Assuming he moves-in.

450:940 doesn't make your odds for the flush draw, or am I missing something?

I think I would have bet the flop. If raised you have enough to 3 bet all in and scare away a lot of hands you would like to fold. If I only had 300 behind, I might prefer the check raise push.

As played I don't really understand why you don't push anyway, unless you put him on definitely having a set. Otherwise the turn is too hard to play and there are a lot of cards which will leave you wishing you had got all in on the flop. Yes maybe you will push him off a jack high flush draw this time, but he should be willing to get all in with a range that you beat, and he might even fold some hands you would like him to fold.

I would have bumped it up preflop if a million people people limped, maybe not every time from the SB but with a hand that good you don't want to be first to act into a big field in bad position.

After shorty sticks it all in is it just you and moron left to act? If there more people still involved then I'd raise again, otherwise call and hope moron also calls with a worse hand. Embrace the variance and push the turn.

I dont much like raising it up in that spot. Sure I have a good hand, but raising here doesnt often serve to reduce the numbers, so all it usually does is bloat the pot when Im out of position. I like to see a flop here. If somebody had raised already, then I would certainly consider 3-betting.

Anyway - I called - everybody else folded, so it was me V shorty.

He had QQ85 with two hearts. I was a slight favourite, but did not improve.

    Next hand.

right, but your odds to hit your hand are 12:33 (8 hearts, 2 aces, 2 nines, 45 cards unseen).

    What am I missing?

First there are 9 hearts (or are you discounting the 5?)
2nd there are two cards to come, and I can hit my hand on either card.

    yes, I wasn't counting the 5h.

Okay, so how should you calculate pot odds when you are all-in with 2 cards to come, in this case, 12 outs twice?

Sorry if I am boring you with this...

The pot odds are the same.

The chances of me hitting my hand are close to double.

33:12 is about 2.75:1, so I'm about 1.4:1 with two cards.

12/33 + 12/32 to hit an out on either card.

thanks, that's the bit I was missing.
