duel boot problem

im running linux and win 98 on a duel boot, the problem is ever since i installed ubuntu, it hangs when i try load win 98? any cause for that? sorry bout the lack of info, its my first jump into linux

discribe what you see from when you reach the bootloader to when the hang occurs.

Are you using grub?

does it start to load win 98 and then hang?
or
when you select the grub boot option does it hang straight away?
