Guys, rather getting back to everybody individually when I get your payments I'll just use this thread. I'll edit it as payments come in.

    Paid:
    Crumbs
    masterK
    Healio
    Eirebhoys
    Bluetonic
    Clusk007

    Fr Wishy Washy
    Chonaic

    Contact Made/Payment in Transit
    Chump
    Corben Dallas
    Fade2Black
    Finnpark
    Leefy23
    Scargill
    Sjones

In the interest of fairness I would prefer to have everybodies money before the festival starts on Tuesday, that may mean those paying by bank transfer need to send it by Thursday or Friday.

I've a question, why is the paypal charge 11.79 when I broke the price down in the last thread and that's the max price if there is only one Paypal payment?

I will be charged 79 cent to accept the payment and another €1 to transfer it to my bank account. I have no idea how many people are going to pay by paypal so I added the full €1 for the bank transfer to each payment as for all I know I might only get one.

If there is money left over I'll either refund it or put it on a bet of your choosing. Or you can pay by Bank Transfer which will cost you nothing extra and will be a lot easier for me.

Deadline for payments to MK will be monday at noon. This will give us time to reshuffle things if need be.

Can those of you who haven't been in touch yet can you confirm if you intend to take part in the competition or not? Also there are a couple of people who have been in touch that I am still waiting to receive payment from, I assume that at this stage you have all sent it, it not can you let me know?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,752 ✭✭✭wb

Hi masterK, I posted the money on Thursday evening, so I assumed you would get it this morning. Have you been home to check your post yet? If it is not there by the morning, please let me know and I will transfer by pay-pal before racing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,752 ✭✭✭wb

Sorry, ignore my last post, I was checking the original list. Doh!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,757 ✭✭✭masterK

I've just [nick] and iloveireland left to hear from, in fairness to everybody if I don't from you guys by 5:30 I will assume that you are not taking part.

Theres always one or two who don't make the final declarations in fairness!

By the way, by what time do we have to post our selections. Is it the night before racing, or is the morning of the races ok?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,757 ✭✭✭masterK

I think we said by 1:00 on the day of the races.

By taking payments from paypal, neteller, bank transfer, cash by post, cheque and postal order it is definitely too much hassle to pay.:)

It's a lot more fun if there is a few bob on it. A tenner is not that much to ask to be honest. With regrds to the hassle factor, there is none. You can do a bank transfer, post the €10, and if you have email, just use paypal. It's not fair on everybody else who pyed, to have 1 or 2 who don't. I would say no to playing without paying, but it's up to fade2black to make that call as he he is the one who started up the comp.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,807 ✭✭✭chump

I would say 'no' as well.
Of course ya can post tips etc. as per usual but I think the Competition thread should be for the competition.

And really the excuse 'too much hassle' is a bit ridiculous considering how easy it is to pay :D
Best o luck anyway with your picks for the festival.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,757 ✭✭✭masterK

There's enough people to be calculating scores for each day as it is without having to do it for people who aren't in the competition.

Why not set up your own competition? call it the "Too tight to pay a tenner comp". Only joking, as chump said you can just post your selections as normal.

There was some money left over due to the number of peole who paid Paypal which lessened the overall charges.

    Corben Dallar - 80 cent
    Leef34 - €1
    Finnpark - 80 cent
    Chump - 80 cent
    Healio - €2.50

If you guys want to pick out a bet for the leftover money let me know and I will do it for you, you might as well go for long shots. Alternatively I can transfer back to your accounts.
