So I tried to log into Full Tilt last night but I got a message saying that my account had been suspended?? So I sent them an email quering this and got a reply back stating that my account has been suspended due to "a close proximity to fruadulent activity"

WTF? I mean I know I'm a bad player and if they can find a pattern out of my play then I hope they'll share it with me, but what fraudulent activity could have taken place?????

I knew I shouldn't have folded those Aces preflop ;)

Anyway, anyone else been in this sitution, how long did it take to resolve etc?

You were probably just playing at the same table as a player that they think was cheating and they probably suspended everyone else at the table while they investigate and make sure that noone else was involved.

Quite right. The likelyhood is that someone at you table may have been using a fraudulent card and inadvertently dumped funds to you. In this situaation (unfortunatlely) an investigation will take place whereupon no doubt it will be duly noted that you are entirely innocent and your account reinstated. Not nice I know but unfortunately sometimes genuine players do get caught up in this. Nought personal from the tilties.

ppp pit boss, i had an account frozen for using my friends credit card when i was in america this summer. paddy power asked if i'd send the name and address of my friend to them, which i did, but nothing ever happened. there's not much money in the account but it was still annoying

Well unfortunatly you committed illegal act here you used someone elses credit card under your name. This would have been declined instantly by your friends bank during the verification process. This has no relevence to the original posters unfortunate situation.
As your freind is the credit card holder all further dealings would have been with the named card holder and your "fraudulent" account suspended.
Youre freind is the only person to whom we would be at liberty to discuss this with.

I was thinking that myself, I guess I'll have to wait and see what happens.

I got an update mail stating that I or another person logged on from a computer that was suspected of fraudulent activity and they are working through the investigation at the moment.

The only computer I've logged on through is my laptop at home, so hopefully it was someone else and they'll resolve it fairly quickly.

Poor old JJ Prodigy as well.

In the new edition of 'bluff' magazine, which would have been printed weeks ago, he is martyred as being one of their 'Top 10 to watch' etc... which is usually a signal for marketing offers and endorsements to start freeflowing through the letterbox.

Granny learned to play poker at the wrong time.

Iago. Has anyone else ever used your laptop to play poker?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,638 ✭✭✭Iago

nope, laptop hasn't left the house at all and nobody has been in the house playing poker on it except me. Seems a bit of a strange one, I'm hoping it's just because I was on a table where someone was playing with a duplicate account.

There was one table where two players seemed to know each other very well and didn't really get involved against each other, but nothing that seemed like collusion to me, just casual recognition.

Sounds like a mix up to me. I am sure they will sort it out for you soon. Certainly someone was being bold at the tabl. WE know it wasnt you :0)

Excuse me for sounding like a muppet but is it JJ prodigy or Gigabet whos about 16yrs old and got his big recent win confiscated?. Is he totally gone from poker now?. Any reports on how he reacted to the cash being withdrawn from his account?. Has he been on any of the forums since about it?.

Was there something recently about Gigabet? there was a post on 2+2 forum but it looked like a troll or something. It was about 2574856 pages long too.

quick update. Having heard nothing I sent a follow up email, "the appropriate department is reviewing your situation and will respond as soon as possible"

"we are receiving a large volume of emails from players and are working through them as quickly as we can"

I wonder if Full Tilt did a complete purge...
