You know the ones, I think they're java script or something, that change when you have a new post online, so it shows the title of the latest post in your blog, or the 5 newest etc. Are these easy to make, are there any basic templates out there I can work from?/ Thanks

Might want to run this past an admin as while dynamic sigs aren't mentioned in www.boards.ie/sigrules it may place unwanted strain on the servers !

How could it place any load on boards servers unless it was hosted by them?

true.

But what is also true is that if the server hosting the sig is slow/down, it could slow down the loading of the boards page, and people could think that it was boards.ie that was sucking instead of tcal.net.
