This is a hoax, am I right?

I am a modeling scout for Impact WorldWide and your profile caught my attention. You have qualities and attributes in which some of our clients (Pepsi, MTV, DreamWorks,…) may show an interest.

Check out our website at http://www.impactww.com. To continue to the registration process click the “TALENT” tab.

This will bring you to the talent page. Find where it reads “I WANT TO BE A MODEL” and click there. This will bring you to the registration page.

At this point you will need to type in your information and my scout code which is HUED2544 (case sensitive).

The next step is uploading your picture(s) and some information such as your height, measurements,… It is at this point that it is going to ask you for credit card information. This is only for if you want to make accepting a booking easier. You are not required to provide this information to have your pictures and information on the site.

If you have any other questions, or have difficulty, do not hesitate to contact me. Also, be sure to view the frequently asked questions section of the website.

You can reach me by email at Huey.Edwards@impactww.com if you have any questions.

    Well they're getting more inventive.

Mostly they are looking for active emails to send crap too but God only knows where that could end up

This is worst than the ring tone scams, because when you sign up you are agreeing to pay 3.95 per "bboking request" you receive. According to some information I found (http://forums.forbes.com/forbes/board/message?board.id=fdcbiz&message.id=680) they issued 2 million requests in their 1st 30 days in operation, and they had 150k subs. With an average of 75k subs, that means they cleared almost €27 per person in the 1st month alone...

Greetings, friend. Do you wish to look as happy as me? Well, you've got the power inside you right now. So use it. And send $1 to Happy Dude, 742 Evergreen Terrace, Springfield. Don't delay; eternal happiness is just $1 away!

Myspace and livejournal are awash with this type of scam...and it's just one of many...they don't give a f*ck what you look like, what you're interested in or what your music sounds like...they only care about your magic 16-digit number or your valuable email addy which if active, they'll sell to spammers.
