Not sure how much longer this thread will last in this forum. :)

Just back from the Fitz, the Gutshot are indeed over. Tomorrow is the team event, 50 players from each casino playing a normal tournament, with points going to the top 18th places. AFAIK, the Fitz have won this everytime (I stand to be aggressively corrected here!). Even if you're not part of the 50 Fitz named players, you can still play in the event (obviously not getting points if you finish high).

Not sure of the exact structure, I'm sure some of the dealers will clarify later (but it looks like a long night in the Fitz, ~110 players for the scalps game). Starts at 2pm, in theory.

Numbers wrong there Lenny, there were nearly 150 players. 14 tables playing 11 at some for a while.

I finished 10th (grrr, last 4 Fitz tournies 7th,5th,7th,10th - No good for the BR) for 200 quid, plus 5 scalps to go with it. Just in now. First prize was 5,000 so miffed I didnt get the cards all night apart from a small spell.

Should be good tomorrow, probably more than 120 runners. We will need to do better than tonight, only 2 Fitz regualrs, 5 Gutshotters and 2 interlopers at the FT after I left. There are 74 in the gutshot contingent so could be another big one. Good value for 50 quid hopefully.

The game tomorrow afternoon is a 50 freezeout, with either 2500 or 3k to start I believe according to what I heard last night.

    gg,nh,ul.....

Wow, didn't realise there were that many! I was downstairs for most of the night, but went out early with about 80 left. Hard luck on tenth. When the friday game gets big numbers, it's always great to finish in the top spots.

Mr Pillowtalk, I'd say a lot of players will play both, heading down to the SE when they get knocked out of the Fitz game. I, on the other hand, can play neither, unfortunately.

Was there anyone at the satellites for this €300 game last month?. When do the satellites realistically start, i, know it says 2pm but i cant really see satts filling up anytime in the afternoon?.

I dont think they had many sats last month, maybe 2 or 3 an hr before the game started.

With the gunshot been in town, I think this will have big no's tonight.

I dont know why this game gets such bad numbers, its good value and better than the 270 in the fitz, with a far better structure.

Maybe there's to many big buy-in games in Dublin now.

why do you say its better than the fitz 270 out of curiosity...? why is it good value?

The structure in the SE €300 is excellent. This is mainly because it doesn't get that many players, but it's a really good tournament. Defo worth playing.

thats it..... better structure, starts at a better time and its 300 each, so would be a better prize pool if it had more players.

What are the level times in this then? The Fitz has changed (as from last month) to 30 mins each level all the way, and were even frozen at one point. It finished at 6.45am. The structure can't be improved much more, barring stack sizes which will only increase length too, and nearly 7am is plenty late methinks.

I didnt know the Fitz changed to 30 mins blinds, I think the starting stack in the SE is 6k also. But that change to 30 mins makes them the same. I would rather play on the Saturday night late than the Thursday, but if you win, who cares...

absolutely. nothing like 10k to make you not care about work for a bit.

    any reports on this?
    how many runners?
    who was there?
    prise pool?
    who won?
    etc

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,679 ✭✭✭Daithio

There were 35 runners, so prize pool 10.5k. I don't know who won it, I came 16th I think. Got it all in with AA preflop vs KK, for the pot of the tourney, would have been chip leader. Tom Hanlon had folded showing AK, so there was one card in the deck to get me, and of course it was the first out.

Peter Heslan won/split it I think. Can anyone confirm this please.
