hi guys just wondering if there is a program that is capable of evesdropping onto a voip converstion? i'm conducting an essay into VoIP security and i'm finding it difficult to find such a program. I'm focusing more so on Google Talk (which has major security flaws btw) and Skype. Any help is much appriciated. Thanks.

I seem to remember a company "DataEdge" talking about this before- look that up. But I'd imagine....

It's IP- so you'll be looking at a standard packet sniffer then extracing the voice section and using some app that can understand which codec voice is in.... I think

Ethereal will work or if you are deft enough you could develop one using libpcap.

Ethereal can capture the RTP packets to a file, you can filter all the other packets out and then you would need to reconstruct the voice streams using the captured RTP packets.
