Inter-rail, Bosnia?

    Hey peeps, thinking of going inter-railing this summer, doing one zone. Going to zone D. There is a class trip to Budapest so its a good place to start. Thing is, I want to go to Bosnia Herzegovina as well. On interrail.com it says that Bosnia is in zone D but its not on the map http://www.interrail.com/zone-d.asp?AFF=IRI Does anyone know what the actual story is?

    Hi Solice,

    I went inter-railing back in 2002 and Bosnia wasn't included because of the troubles. There are still a lot of landmines around the place and its considered dangerous. I think its still not included.

    That didn't put us off though. We took a bus from Croatia (can't remember where) to Sarajevo and it was so worth it. Its an amazing city - there are still so many things to remind you of the war but the people there want to forget about it and its a real party city.

    I really recommend going there - its easy and cheap to get a bus.
