I was on the St. Patrick's Festival website and there's no mention of a Skyfest. Why isn't Skyfest on this year?

Good one, really put me in my place there :D

Honestly what answers does OP expect?? Why not just ask "the hourse's mouth" rather than spamming here? And yes, AH is the pit for all crap like this

Yay... lets all stand around in the cold for an hour and a half waiting to see 500 thousand euros worth of pretty explosions poorly synced to the music from riverdance.

in fairness, its not everyones cup of tea, but better than having the half a million spent on Bertie's make up bill, or one of the many many other places in Irish society that sucks up money like an overexcited hoover. At least SOMEONE enjoyed the skyfest. (I did too until I tried to leave the multi story where I'd parked)
Maybe they've cancelled it because Dublins sky has been lit up already this year courtesy of the riots a couple of weeks back.

Oh fuc.k off you whingey bastards. The poster asked a simple question. I also don't know and have been trying to find out. Looks like it ain't happening.

I enjoyed it most years I went. So long as you get there a bit before it starts you can get some good spots along the quays. You're probably the same moaney sods that give out about Dublin not "having anything on" for Paddy's Day.

    It is what it's.

I contacted them and they said it's not on this year.

Pity! I thought it was the only decent thing in the whole festival.

And I wanted to tell my daughter that they were put on specially for her bday.:D

Jesus, Oneweb and Beruthiel, If they want to act like tossers let them. It's no skin off my nose.

I also thought it was the most decent thing of the festival and that's saying something.

Exactly, there were also some people on here who whinged about Ireland having nothing for NYE  Some people can't be pleased.
