Okay here's something thats plagued me for a while.
You know most gibsons have the tune-o-matic bridge.
Well does anyone know what direction it should face?
It would seem sensible that the side with the screws should face the stopbar, right? The annoying thing is that it fits in both ways but it doesn't seem to hamper playability in either direction

I've seen them on both ways. I dont think it actually makes any difference.

on some setups the screws hit the strings as they slant from the bridge to the tailpiece, causing buzz,an easy fix is to rotate the bridge so the screws face the bridge humbucker instead

All mine face the bridge pickup. I know that now, but the first time I took it off my first guitar to change the strings and clean it............ I had the very same question!!
