    hey ive a small problem with my speakers there logitech 5.1 surrond sound ive a Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Music card when i turn down the speakers i get what sounds like a radio channel coming through in french what is happening and how do i fix it?

    You sure its not you mic causing noise? Try muting it.

    it could be a radio station:confused: i use to use guitar amps before and i often get radio stations coming in on it

    Speaker cables can actually pick up radio signals. I'm not sure what the best fix is but it's a common enough problem so I'm sure there is one. Try moving the cables around a bit and see if it makes a difference

    I think you can buy ferrite rings at Maplin, and that's kind of like a sellotape that you wrap around the cables to shield it from interference.

    Mute the 'line in' in the surround mixer. I had the same problem. Its most likely something to do with your mixer settings.

    I can get red hot dutch on mine.... its only the sound though *sigh*
