I currently have a Netopia modem from eircom which I got a couple of years ago. I now want to buy a router to create a wireless network at home. My current modem is DSL and not ethernet. Is there any specific type of router I need to avoid or any specific type I need to buy? Thank you for your help, sorry that I'm not very knowledgable about this kinda thing.

You could go with the wireless Netopia from Eircom(here), but there are other ADSL routers that are better. Try looking at the Linksys(here)

Things to look out for are routers that are 802.11b/g compliant. 802.11a is overkill for the price premium.

    Hope this helps
