I need a replacement fan for this card as its so so noisy. The sync is connected by pins which "catch" the card. Can someone point me to a fan and sync replacement for this?

GeForce FX 5500 listed in the compatible cards list for Zalman VGA cooler. Check out their site for flash based install instructions though they do throw in a paper version with the product.

Yup bought one last week and can confirm they will fit the 5500 .
