extra income and how to let the tax office know

    Hi there:

    I have visited revenue.ie website and asked for help but there is a lot to read and after reading it feels like a lot of loose letters all togheter in one page, if you know what I mean.
    I m employed but I will get an extra income, but I dont want to register as self employed as this extra income is only small but i do have to give invoices in a monthly basis.
    Advice would be very welcome

    The best thing you can do is to ring the tax office.

    have you tried ringing them lately?
    The phone lines are open from 9 to 13 and i have tryed several times holding for over half hour, is locall but i m still paying for not talking.
    I would really apreciate some knowledge

    Write to them. Short. Sweet. To the point. Quote your PPS number and the ball is in their court. If you're really lucky they'll lose the letter and forget about you. The revenue are, and this hurts to say it, one of the most helpful and friendly offices i've ever had to deal with...
