recommend a digital camera for photos at gigs

i have a cheapish nikon but ive been getting mixed results a lot of blurred images or very dark no detail . id be in the crowd so would like something small and compact . any got any recommendations any sample pics theyve taken thanks in advance Eoin

if you only want a cheap point and shoot, the fuji range has the best noise levels at high iso's
