Printer Problem

I have just bought black ink for a lexmark z33. I have gone into the properties to change the option so it only prints in black. The problems is it wont let me select the option, its grayed out. I was wondering if this will make any difference?

Have you tried the option that takes you through installing a new cartridge? When installing a new one, it should allow you to choose the cartridge type. Can't remember the exact option as we just got rid of our Lexmark printer. Other than that, it could be a driver issue.
