Well if you live around the Oranmore area, there's a bowling alley there, you could give Bowling a try.

Jogging is a great alternative to team sports - good craic if you go with a group at about your own level once or twice per week. You also get to run whenever you have an hour to spare.

There's a meet & train group starting in Renmore next week. If you're already fit from other sports you might be better joining the Monday GCH run. All the details and more are on: www.galwaycityharriers.com

You could try sailing. The club in Oranmore is very active and is about to start a new "introduction to sailing" course. If you haven't tried sailing this is a fantastic way to try out a bunch of different boats. I met some people who tried this last year and they had a great time. Some of them got hooked altogether.

    From their website (www.gbsc.ie):
The club also offers an introduction to sailing which starts on 15th March 2006, ... give them a chance to sail monohulls, multihulls and cruisers.
