I've been going to bed about 6ish lately. I'm up at 10 in the morning (4+ hours away) so I'm going to try stay awake till I get a bit of sleep about 2ish tomorrow afternoon.

I'm not to tired at the moment, but I'll get tired about 6ish. I plan to play poker online & sort out a few things I need to do online.

What's the best way to stay awake? :D

Sleep is kinda essential. Don't overdo it.

Dexedrine or effexor work pretty well, you can keep going for 40 hours get 5hours sleep then do it all again, great stuff really

efexor make me sleepy. or maybe it's the xanax. or the combination of both.

Amazingemmet, I hope that was a joke. But just in case,.........
Effexor is more likely to *make* you sleep, it only causes insomnia in 3% of patients.
Besides, it is NOT a medication to be "played with".
    Unless prescribed by a doctor.

Coffee and lots of noise...take all teh elements that you need to sleep adn make sure you don't have them...e.g. if you need silence to sleep get yourself some loud music.

Ok got it mixed up with something else then, just got the names from the list of chemicals they give to bomber pilots on long sorties.

Anything high in sugar content works in the short-term, as in hours.
Also, the mere act of eating will keep you awake longer anyway, as the body will be more unwilling to fall asleep before metabolising the bulk of whatever it is u scoff down.

Chocolate, sweets, coke (as someone else said), lucozade... All good.

Besides chemical stimulants like caffine or Adderall, I'd recommend leaving your environemnt for a short walk or a jog when you begin to feel like falling asleep. When I'm pulling an all nighter writing papers, I'll leave the apartment to walk a mile to the 24 hour gas station for cigarettes or Coke, and come back feeling refreshed. If it's winter, it helps not to dress warm enough for the walk, as the cold has a reviving effect. Sometimes I'll jog just enough to get the blood pumping and the endorphins fired up. Follow that with a cold shower, and you're good for another few hours.

Bomber pilots tend to have some incentive as well to stay awake so it's not all chemicals. Also my uncle met a guy who served on the Russian front. And he said the worst thing was not the risks or the cold but the lack of sleep. Amphatemines (speed) widely used but you don't sleep afterwards.

Ever see Tom and Jerry ?
Tom used matchsticks to keep his eyes open and in the end had to paint eyes on them to convince the maid he was awake.
BTW: Hattie McDaniel won an oscar in the 1930's despite Halle Berry's hysterics to the contary. And that was probably before Halle's mother was born. And besides Halle's mother, Judith Ann Hawkins, was white
