You'd get a good cheap insurance package from:
    http://www.countrysideallianceireland.org/

The've been proven to be a piss poor organisation and IMHO are bad news for hunting in this country but no one does a better deal on the insurance.

A bottle of whiskey to the farmer every Christmas will help you keep your permission too.

Good luck with the CZ - the trigger kit is excellent - make sure you try slam firing it as hard as possible after installing.

I was driving by one day when i saw a bloke cutting ahedge with a tractor and asked him had he any land i could shoot on and he said no problem "but" i wasnt allowed to use the .22 as he reckons the bullet travels too far.Another guy said no problem with the .22 as long as i had insurance, which i got from countryside alliance of ireland.

I just paid for a CZ452 style , waiting for the cert, just wondering where you got the trigger kit ( from your dealer or on the web ?) will be looking for one myself and a couple of spare mags may be a few other bits and pieces.

Eric Brooks - great to deal with - and relatively cheap.

I ordered the trigger kit from http://cz452.com/springkit.html and stuck it in myself and was realy impressed with the improvement it made to accuracy. cost about €12.
    p.s.
Buttler creek flip up scope caps on the way from http://www.kinneman.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=173&MMP=1. check it out.

I am interested to know are you a member of a gun club ? If not did you have any trouble in getting your fire arms cert ? Just by reading a lot of the threads on boards they wer asked for letters from land oners stateing that they had permisson to shoot there.

Yes im a member of Courtlough Gun club. You can also get the cert independently by providing written shooting permission from a land owner i.e. you can show where you are going to shoot.
    M.
PS. Any more suggestions/directions on where to hunt folks would be much appreciated.
    cheers M.
