Very first hand of a turbo sit and go. Should I push, raise, or call?

I'm always weary of going all in at the start of tourney's for two reasons. Firstly, there are usually a fair few bad players and your likely to get a few callers with average cards and secondly i hate going out at the beginning becuase then i dont even get a bit of entertainment for my buy in cost.

    What is the buy in?

IF it was a small buy in ie five dollars id be inclined to push at the worst you are fifty fifty, however if you feel you are better then your oppenents (which is hard to judge cause its the first hand) I would possibly fold.
Strange putting in 240 into a thirty pot. The guy obviously doesnt want a caller and/or is possibly drunk.

How fast are the blinds rising in a PokerStars turbo? On tribeca they rise every 1 minute.

Because its a turbo aswel as being a $10 game i would push here. Theres a high enough chane you will be called by A-Q/J. Turbo games are a crapshoot especially in a 9-seater, early chips matter alot more

Just fold - what hands open raise to 12x the BB?

Meh - I fold this here all day.

Look at all that dead money - all in

All I would be doing would be adding to the dead money !!!!

Having read the above I'd suggest that you definitely consider another form of poker than Turbo SNGs.

Definate raise for me here. If you push your only gonna get called by kings or aces this early in the tourney. Id bet for value here and also to see where I stand with regards ot the opening raiser.

Missed the fact that it was a turbo sng. Never played one of these before but Id push in this tourney.:)

Turbo tournament, you have the nuts, push and get called by AJ.

Turbo its a push, although structure is better than tribeca you still need to double up quickly.
