If you are paying a monthly bill to Sky you should already have the 4 Irish tv channels. If you are not paying a bill and are using the Sky box for free channels then you wont be able to watch any of the 4 Irish channels.

It won't do you any good. You need an Irish subscription to get them. They are not FTA.

An NI UK sub gives RTE2, RTE1, TG4 and all the UK TV inc C4 and Five.

An ROI Irish Sub must have Variety Pack and gets RTE2, RTE1, TG4 and TV3, but only BBC1 NI and BBC2 NI on EPG. (The rest of the UK TV work via "Other Channels", Except for C4 and Five, which don't work at all).

If you tune in the irish Channels there is no picture or sound. But the teletext (Aertel in Ireland) and thus the page 888 subtitles work.

So without a sub, you can read RTÉ broadcasts, while not seeing or hearing them...interesting concept.
