I saw a particular raggy headline in the Indo earlier this week actually, it's the first time I noticed a clear descent into the murky world of tabloid half-truths and sensationalism.

Is it just me, or was the Indo aiming for cheap titillation by publishing a picture of a murder victim on its front page, who just happened to be an attractive woman in a see-thru swimsuit?

So if she 'happened' to be an un-attractive female in a see-thru swimsuit there would not be a problemo?

It wouldn't have killed them to crop the image so that it was just a head shot.

My brother lives/lived next door to her in Mallorca, he was on the phone this evening and seemed a bit upset about it.

    Attractive  .
One mans trash is another mans treasure, they could have printed a pic of a 12yr old boy and MJ would have been here posting the same crap....

PS: Sorry to hear she is dead ::/

    lol! nice.

I saw that picture earlier on, suprised that I didn't notice the top was see-through... I don't find her attractive, maybe that's why I didn't inspect any further.

Jeez, just remembering that she's dead... :/

    :(

    RIP

  • No I don't really see the problem TBH. She decided to wear it in the first place and it was the picture they were given by whoever was asked to give one. At first I thought you meant it was a picture of a dead body, which yes would have been disrespectful.

    Oh very interesting..

See, it's not that difficult to crop the image. There was never any need to show the kid and the outfit she was wearing.

No, I'm too busy to start threads. However, this was the first one because I'm wondering if anyone in this country gives a sh*t anymore?

The original photo must have been given to the press by a close family member. The photo showed the woman to be happy, attractive, vivacious and a mother. I think portraying her like that highlights all the more what was lost when she was murdered.

Well that theme continues today, the Tribune has 3 pictures of the mudered woman one on the front and two on the same page inside. There is no doubt in my mind that if she looked and dressed like Waynetta Slob the pictoral input would be limited to a small b&w head shot.

    Mike.
