    But ya gotta be connected to one of their norn iron exchanges and not their 40 LLU exchanges down here .

    Their current package is 2Mbits so thats an 'up to' 400% increase . Not everyone gets 8Mbits but
    BT estimates that more than 75pc of Northern Ireland phone lines should support new broadband download speeds of 4Mbps and above.

    and no Cap either .

    Their LLU customers should mail them to find out 'when', its the same gear IIRC

    Not a chance....esp if the aussies take over and decide to just chop up eircom and sell it offf to the highest biddders....which could probable be a good thing in the long run!!!

    In the US for example where uploads can be as high as 1Mb...some Cable co's have begun CAPPING the customers upload speeds if they are deemed detremental to the overall stability of their network!!!

    as most isps are chained to the dying animal known as €ircon Id say it wont be till 2008 before any company feels the need to improve whats on offer to the Irish sheeple
