Celtic Poker Tour - Views Please

Hi there, just joined these forums, still finding my feet. I have seen a few threads regarding celtic poker and I was quite surprised to be honest. In fairness I haven't actually played an event yet so I do not have the players perspective (which is what i am after here). Basically I have been to a few events and in my opinion the set up looks good. By set up I mean good tables, friendly staff, great atmosphere, nice locations. Having not played however I do not know what the game itself is like.

Obviously self dealing can be frustrating, but what's the game like?

At the end of the day, I'm reading all these threads of disgruntled people yet, there are still 200 - 300 at each event. Do the happy customers not speak? Are these posts genuine or I am missing something?

You are probably missing about 40% .. if you have read the threads, you'll know the story. No point in spending another day regurgitating the same o same o

Agree Culchie. If the other threads don't tell you all you need to know then good luck to you.

You've gotta be kidding. You've read the all the other posts about this shower of thieves and you join the board and your first post is to try to defend them. You must have connections with the organisers.
I've previously suggested in another thread that boards can be an intimidating place to post as you can be left open to abuse. On this occasion however I think you would be deserving of any abuse thrown at you.

In fairness, he points out he hasn't been.

OP seems genuine enough to me...although like all the other hundreds that are attending CPT completely oblivious to what 'value' really mean.

Trust me CPT's days are numbered ... with the likes of Green Joker etc... will win out in the end.

No, he says he hasn't played. He says he has attended. IMO, Its just all too fishy. I don't doubt that he could have gone for a look, he suggests he has done this a few times. But to try to defend them just doesnt make sense.

This sounds like a job for Tom "Chloe O'Brien" Murphy. :)

And he does use the words 'In Fairness'. We know what happened to him!!!

My innocent head though still says he is just a misguided punter trying to find the light, and I hope you do platinum.
