Hi All is this the norm or what could be the problem????

Moved into our new house about a year ago now.... In some of the rooms the skirting is lifted or its not flush to the floor, anywho... There is a cold draft blowing under these skirting also in the Kitchen behind the kickers it also very cold and windy

If you look at the wall behind the skirting the wall fnishes about 4inches before the floor and you can stick your fingers behind.

Is this the norm and how can I stop these drafts

    any advice appreciated

your best bet and not too much trouble is to move the skirtings down to the floor.
and then put painters caulk on the top and bottom to seal them.
the draft **I think** is coming from your attic space.
caulk is what painters use to seal up gaps in skirting/architrave etc.

a tube is only about 3/4 euro.

common hardware and chadwicks have it.

Thanks for that I should have realised when I had the skirting off to put something in the gap
