The other night, Big Niallie never shut up, the actual commentator hardly got a word it. He biased view was also just a tad annoying. Discuss.

He is useless, annoys me so much, lucky I was in college and watched TV3 highlighs but flicked over to Sky highlights for a minute, heard him call Henderson, Given about 3 times and flicked back. Was talking to lads in house yesterday and they said he drove them nuts so much so they missed the first goal flicking to see if anyone else had it on live

Oh yeah he is neither because he is useless at both!!

He was just waffling, he would make a statement then realise it might be too far off the fence and try make up for it by muttering absolute nonsense for about 2 minutes afterwards.

He is in the mould of Jamie Redknapp, except Jamie is far better looking! :D The two of them never get off the fence theyre just too nice. Im worried that Jamie Redknapp will be the new face of Sky Sports after Andy Gray. Gray is bad but at least at times his English ass licking is entertaining.

He'll get piles from sitting on that fence. He's a rubbish Pundit and comentator. He was going on the other night about Given making a fantastic save. Given had been substitude five minutes earlier. Enough said about his comentating skills or lack of them to be precise.

Ya total Muppet, not a clue and his voice pis* take on Gift Grub sound more intelligent.

He was on about how Sweden missed Abramovich when he had to go off!! And this guy played soccer, won't mind the wife making that mistake!

I think we should get a petition to get him off the channel, he is noting short of iritating,

Neither, he should stick to those Daz or Ariel commercials he does with the missus. You know, the ones where he never opens his mouth!

He's a bloody cabbage. Makes stupid comments and generally doesn't have a clue.

    He suits Sky.

Hopefully Souness will be back on Sky soon, seriously, I've yet to see a better pundit on TV, despite his shortcomings in other areas.

I think he knows his game, to be fair, but as most people have said he's just too damn nice - trying to perform, rather than just talking about the game. Jamie R comparisons are spot on, and is it just me, or was Jamie calling him "Noel" after a game a while back?

Jaysus ! consensus on the soccer forum, this thread should be stickied.:D

Not sure about the Edmonds link, but a few weeks ago they mentioned what they were talking about at dinner the night before.

Regarding Jamie R, he IS a top bloke. I 'met' him in Liverpool bar a few years ago with his brother, the fella couldn't do enough for ya. Took a camera off me to take a pic of me and McAteer, not my idea, Jamie's. D.James was with them.

We were just four lads over for a game, we'd had a few pints, we could have easily been ignored by them. Obviously we didn't annoy them too long (I think), but he's an absolute gent.

yeah not a fan of quinn, far too nice and conservative.

he had an orgasm anytime duff touched the ball. wtf was up with that? constantly praising duff.

he also thought given was still in goals for the 2nd half

he's got far too much to say, most of it is rubbish. you can't beat jim beglin as a co-commentator. best pundit is dumphy, i sometimes watch matches just to see who he'll stick the knife into next.

Give the most entertaining award to dunphy but you certainly cannot give him the best.

THe best will give his honest opinion on something. Dunphy just says the most outragous(sp) thing he can think of.
