    This may be the wrong forum, sorry if it is. Anyway, I am interested in making an animated screensaver. I don't have a clue where to start. Could someone give me a few pointers. Would it have anything at all to do with programming?

    Yes, it would have a lot to do with programing. Unless of course you wanted to make a picture slideshow, then you can just get tools for that, but if you wanted it do something else you would need a programing language. You don't need to be greatly knowledged in any programming language to make a screen saver, you just need to know a bit.

    Visual Basic would be a good start, or even C#.

    Here is a guide to do it in Visual Basic (but you still need to know the language ;))
