I have a D-link DSL-G604T which I am wired to, I have a house mate who is connected to it through wifi, She streams alot of music and TV and this basically kills my connection when she is using it, Is there anyway to split the connection evenly? its a 3mb line from smart and I would love to throttle her speed to 1.5mb so we could have an equal connection. anyway of doing this?

    Sean.

You would need a router that can handle QoS.

Im guessing the G604T does not have QoS? I guess Ill just have to kill my housemate then.......:->

No and even though the DI-724U does have QoS. I'm not sure how configurable it is. Looks like it may handle it itself to give priority to VoIP.

Wouldn't it be nice if you could 'fix' her cable so as to give her a connection but a bad one.:D
