Broadband Regulation

Guys, Just a quick question. Which regulator is actually responsible for regulating broadband providers now. Somebody I know was looking to make a complaint and assumed it was ComReg but according to the person who answered the phone there they have no jurisdiction over broadband. Any ideas?

ComReg is the COMMUNICATIONS regulator. They are responsible. Perhaps in this instance it was beyond their control but if your friend was told that they were lied to.

Most likely Comreg, but it could also fall under the mandate of the ODCA, depending on the type of complaint. http://www.odca.ie/cfmdocs/c_query/cable.cfm gives a little more information.
