500 gig's od data

    Ok here is my story I have about 500 gigs of music and data iin total, I need a good wat to store this data with reducance, whats the best way to store this amount of data ??

    2 500 gig hard drives in RAID 1 (mirroring), methinks.

    Im going for 4x~300 Gig Raid5 myself. But after buying my new box I wont be able to afford it for another 2 months.

    reducance = reduce or redundancy ?

    redundancy = mirrored drives RAID 1 ( Raid 5 more expensive )
    or Lots of DVD's

    what size disks you gonna buy, Also have you found a good Sata Raid 5 Controller?

    No, I mean I'd normally go for adaptec, but if it's too expensive something like this will have to do.

    Won't be able to do it for a couple of months though, I need to get a nice big flat screen first, and since ive just spent 2 grand on a new box, I'm pretty broke.
