    Hi,

Had a quick look ... the three direct to photo URL's links are not working for me (may be something to do with Firefox browser) ... but the website link is fine.

I'm no pro but there is some nice composition going on ... you have come up with some interesting angles ...

For me the one with the hands is the best... it has very nice sharp texture and your choice of Black and White is perfect ... I could not really fault it.

I also like the way you have done lady in stone ... very powerful from the upward angle you have chosen. The only problem is the background ... the chimneys do not add anything ... you could try blurring them more but I'm not so sure this would work ...

For the "alone" picture, you may want to try a narrower dept of field to blur the background more it is a little distracting from the main subject ... also the light striking the face is just a little off for me ... too much shadow not enough highlight ...

one comment ... you should use a caption to provide the exif information on the Camera make, Fstop / Shutter settings, Lens focal length, format (if you are not shooting RAW then you should be ... memory is cheap!!) ...

That's my two cents ... but I am no pro like I said ...

What lens are you using ?

    Regards,

    Simon

    Hi there,

Two that I like more than the rest, Green and Lady in Stone

The first is almost abstract thanks to the nice composition and angle. I like pictures showing fractals in nature. What I don't like about this shot is the highlights in the top-right of the frame, I find them quite distracting from the image as a whole.

I like the exposure on the second, nice detail in shadow and light alike. The colour is nice, composition is spot on for the statue itself. I don't like the detail in the background though, and think this would have benefitted from being shot at a wider apeture, or being composed from a different angle.

Overall I like most of your shots, but these two especially. I'm also curious as to the lens used
