charging Ipod without usb

    OK so i went to Argos yesterday to get a Dock, i asked the girl does it have an AC adapter.. she said of course as it would be useless without one... got it opened it and none.. So since all i want to be able to do is charge it anywhere without having to have PC with me.. i brought it back and got the AC adapter instead.. says you can charge Ipod anywhere.. grand... bring it home.. what do i find?? No cable.. just a plug and some world adapters.. nothing to plug in to ipod and cant use ordinary USB cable as it has what seems to be a firewire port???

    WTF??? this is official Apple gear!!

    Am i better off getting one of the non apple docks that come with AC adapter and speakers?
