are you doing this from home or from the office etc.?

    Assuming you're using windows, try:
Run ftp (enter ftp as the program name)
    ftp> open ftp.esat.net
(use "anonymous" as user & password).

    What happens?

It's working for me in Firefox 1.5.0.1. Try using an FTP program.

If you're downloading something that big by FTP, the you might as well use something that supports the FTP's resume feature - as far as I can see, neither IE or Mozilla/Firefox do. What if you get through 90% of the DVD only for the thing to stall, and you have to redo it from the start?

(Assuming you're using Windows, since you mention Explorer) Try SmartFTP or something like that instead?

If you use firefox have a look at FireFtp - its great for ftp:// sites (don't think it does http:// ones yet)

    also look at FileZilla

winhttrack is great for pulling down entire http sites and links

netleach I like for downloading large files
