assuming the blinds start at 25/50 won't this make it a bit of a crapshoot up until the 4th level when all rebuys have been eliminated, nice way to make money I know but horrible way for poker to be played, a better starting stack would be nice.

    the structure is pretty standard.

there is a maximum of 2 rebuys or 1 rebuy and a top up so there will be scope for some tighter play.

100% of the money in the prizepool will be paid out in tickets for the Irish Open Main Event.

Standard for online play however, this is live.

Last game green joker ran in drogheda that paid out the €1800 ticket + prize money what were the starting stacks? bigger? if so why change it now.

Your eliminating a lot of the poker that can be played here with a starting stack of that proportion and the blinds that follow.

I'm not worried about the amount of rebuys going towards tickets etc etc, I would rather get value for my money and be able to play some poker and hopefully take 1st or 2nd and win a ticket. Rather than be worrying about someone going all in at my table every 5 mins on the account of them trying to accumulate chips as a result of the starting stack being dire.

The structure is designed as such to generate more tickets. Drogheda was a Freezeout and also €250 entry ergo more chips and slightly longer blind levels.

There is a slight mistake in my post, the rebuy amount is 2500 not 2000, I will edit shortly.

If we made it a Freezeout entry would have to be €330 and there would be less players and less opportunity for people to qualify cheaply.

I played a satellite for the EPT in Deaville and the starting stack was 1500, rebuys were 1500 and the top up was 2000. This was a €200 rebuy.

After the break and top up the blinds will be 100/200. The top up is 15BB so when you add that to the chips you have you will have time to play poker.
