PC locks and needs a restart

    Ok i have a PC problem,
    did you ever have the complaint that when the PC is idle it locks automatically, when the user tries to log back on, a restart is necessary?
    this is happening continuously, any ideas on how to change this?

    Yes...and it was a password protected screensaver on the lusers machine :rolleyes: :shakingofangryshtick:

    Update AV and anti-spyware software and scan.

    Test in Safe Mode.
    Test with any added/external hardware removed.


    Which OS is it? Service Pack? Up to date with Windows Updates (This issue was common enough with some external USB devices)?
