As a follow on from my post last night, I just came across this post. This is by a highly successfull cash game player on tribeca for years who now plays $5 $10. He is very tight and unimaginative I would guess allthough we havent played much before.

Once at 2/4nl, I misclicked and called a $100 preflop raise with Ac2c..

We saw the flop headsup, which had 2 clubs on it. I check to him, and he moves in for his last $200. So pot is $400, and $200 for me to call - I insta-call, and river my flush. Get in there! :P

WTF - how is it possible to play/think so bad and then post about it

100 pre flop raise @ 2 / 4 wow. Do you often get 25 x bb raise at this level.

Ps. I certainly would'nt be posting about it.

Calling 200 to win a 400 pot with the nut flush draw = good play .... whats your point?

The mistake was calling 100 preflop. Which he described as a misclick. I dont get this?

Isn't 2-1 about the odds needed to call with a flush draw?

If it's such an insta-call, he should bet the flop to get added folding equity for his unmade hand.

I assume he means checking this flop is terrible play, which it is.

Knowing that he will have to call all in on the flop checking is terrible, if theres even a tiny chance the guy will fold he has to push. He cant lose anything by pushing.

    right - didnt see that.

Doesnt mean he played terribly, just sub-optimally.

This is supposed to be a good player, you would think that pushing might cross his mind.
