Signed into Messenger Beta today and it told me I had to upgrade to the newest version... wouldn't let me sign in without updating

The new one is horrible... I can barely look at it it burns my eyes...

Anyone know of any sort of a rollback tool or anything? Had a look at mess.be but can't find anything to bring it back to the nice, pleasing GUI it had before...

Here was me thinking Windows Live Messenger was shaping up to be a nice little program :(

I use GAIM when I boot into Linux but I don't like it functionally... Call me the "iPod generation" but I liked how purrdy the last version of Beta was...

Can't even have custom pictures on GAIM. Also I like the WMP plugin, seems to be a conversation starter if you talk about music a lot (which I tend to do)

amsn replicates a good few msn features like display pictures and nudges if you're looking for something better than gaim under linux.

Yupp, I just got an invite to the MSN beta, I hate it, after only 5 minutes. It just looks horrible, and the interface sucks.
I had it set up in 7.5 so that there all offline contacts were grouped, and all my grouped contacts were in there groups when there online. Now I have half of a group showing offline but in a group... not the offline section. Messed up! Roll back to 7.5 me thinks, till it's out of beta and we have no choice.

Or you could remove the MSN bloatware and use the integrated Microsoft messenger which is just a very basic version of MSN messenger

Use Trillian and sign in to all of your messengers at once :)

And between them: Trillian. Gaim (win32) is still rather buggy :/
