If the phoneline is disconncted, can you be charged for the playing of the kids games on channels like Cartoon netwrok etc? Our 4 year old has taken a huge liking to them and no matter what I say to her she keeps playing them behind my back? if I reconnect the phone line am I about to get whacked with a big retrospective bill or anything....i just (unfortunately) can't see them being free...

I hope they are free. I just tried one myself to see. I have the box set to ask for a PIN if anyone tries anything requiring extra payment and it didn't ask for the PIN. But it was only a couple of CN games I tried. I'm pretty sure at least some of the non-CN games do cost something.

it should say how much it costs before you play the games.

My 5 year old was doing the same a while back. Never got billed by Sky, but just in case I put a PIN on the box.

Some games are not a problem, other's request the PIN after a few minutes playing. So I guess, some are free and others aren't.

Just disconnect the phone line - that way it's free. Even if the child goes to the level that requires payment, since the box can't connect, there's no charge. My kids play all the time, and I just make sure that cable's not plugged in.

Alot of the games will let you get to a certain level and then request that you agree to pay to continue. If you haven't been asked to pay you shuoldn't be charged..... but I'd add that pin just incase. :)

The BBC ones are all free, for somewhat obvious reasons...

Is cbeebies on the Irish EPG? Or not, like everything else BBC bar 1&2?

No, you gotta go to other channels to get it.
