laptop recommendation help

    :eek: I am wondering if any of you could recommend a good laptop preferbly about €700 and max €1000 euro and not a Dell.I have been looking for several hours now when ever the chance is there from work ..I would like it to be more multimedia orientated as I would only really use it for tv,dvd,music and copying music and using a few document features.I know im asking for alot for so little but sure see it as a challenge.I do apprieciate any/all assistance in this issue.

    An Apple iBook :) ~€980 if you're a student, ~€1079 if you're not. I just ordered one last night! :D Supposedly that what they're best at -- multimedia stuff!

    Get 1 ,with at least 64meg video ram onboard grahics ,with svideo out,sound out socket.I have 1 with 1ghz cpu, i find it does everything, plays dvds ,games etc with a good quality screen,you need to test out ,is the sound good from the speakers,try playing a video clip,or a dvd ,to really see what the screen is like.YOU can get 1 here on board/for sale for 450e or less if you are willing to buy secondhand ,u don,t need 2ghz cpu to play dvds.I think toshiba do very good laptops, get a least a dvd/cdrw drive installed.Its handy to have 3 usb ports,get a 15inch tft,at least.
