Potluck Poker doesn't offer a guaranteed prize pool,
We do Guarantee a 100% PAYOUT of buyins at ALL our events.
The number of players and buyins are projected in plain clear view of all players for the start to finish.
At the moment we are sticking with No Limit Freeze Out events.

So what we want to know is, what do you want from a tournament???
Freeze out or Rebuy. Guaranteed Prize Pool or 100% Payout. No limit or Pot Limit etc Open To all suggestions!!

Where Should We Hold Our Next €100 Freeze Out Event?

who are you and what are your credentials for running tournaments?

In fairness, he does not need to have credentials to run a tournie, but did have the decency to come on here and ask what kind of tournament players would like. I sometimes wonder why anyone bother to do that when they get rude and abrupt replies most of the time.

I have helped many tournament organisers with advice and have played in bad ones and good ones. The over-riding determing factor is not blind levels etc (which has been advised on on this site ad nausem) but the people who run these tournaments and their ability to listen to people who give sound advice.

Before I (or anyone else) helps then we should have more info. The OP has not said much in terms of his ability to listen to advice.

    I am not being rude.

I'm a poker player who loves the game. I have played in good and bad tournaments 2.
We ran our 1st €100 freeze out tournament on the 17th febuary, in Enniscrone, Co. Sligo. 55 played and €5500 was payed out. I have had good feedback from the night and hope to see the numbers grow.
I'm willing to listen to sound advice other wise i wouldn't requested it.

Sorry BD I was not trying to have a go at you, but I do think that the likes of Pot Luck get more grief then it can be worth when they post here. He came here requesting the advice you want him to listen to, and I felt your answer was pretty abrupt, and pretty unhelpful.

    Ok

    1. I see your point
    2. He very well may be genuine (I believe he is)
    3. The way he posted just seemed a little too vague and I felt he needed to expand a little on the info and introduction
    4. There have been plenty of veiled posts lately that were just trash trying to pimp their events

Potluck ... I wouldn't mind knowing a bit more about you and your set up. I'm from Easkey originally and I would imagine you'd know some of the Ballina players. I live in Westport and I'm trying to set up some decent tournaments here... At the moment there are three pub run ones going but I wouldn't play in any of them. Therefore locally - IE: anywhere I can get to in just over an hour I play The Electric Mouse tourneys in Kiltimagh [Excellent pub tourney self deal set up by Michael and co - posts on here as Coilte Boy] and of course Fintan's Pokerevents tourneys. I would certainly consider travelling to Enniscrone to play if I knew the set up was right.

You can PM me with details if you wish... and Castlebar is also ripe for a good regular game.

yes, i play in Ballina alot and know most of the players.I have herd alot about The Electric Mouse tourney in Kiltimagh and it sounds to be a good game (i must make my way up there 4 a game soon, i had a poster for the last event in there).

Well what would you like 2 know?

:D hi potluck, was at the last freezeout in enniscrone, brought about 8 with me, was happy with tournament, if youre looking for hints u could start at 25/50 blinds or bigger starting stack but overall we all thought it was well run with blind levels ample at 25 - 30 minutes, would be happy to have you in belmullet because we have to travel to everything, local pub tourney here pulls in between 18 to 25 runners every week so with outside influence we might be able to pull that up to 60 - 100 so its worth thinking about, anyway ill see u in enniscrone the next night. sunzz can point me out if u want to chat more about this idea. good luck with your tourneys. ps castlebar could be worth trying as well as from what i know i think it is pretty skint of tourneys lately
