    Current Setup :

    Wireless router upstairs
    Dect Cordless downstairs

Anybody got experience with any units? I want to install some wireless IP phones rather than running cable downstairs to an ATA. On the other hand if someone has a better solution/idea then ping in.

My router supports QoS so I can set prioritization / IP throttling.

If it's just the house you're looking to cover then I think you'd get better value plugging your DECT setup into your ATA upstairs. Wireless IP phones are more expensive and won't do any better job than an ATA/DECT setup. Now if you wanted to tale your IP phone off around the country with you making calls at free wi-fi hostspots then that's a different matter.

    My personal experience:

I have phone in 3 places in the house

1 computer room, second floor, netgear router, cable modem

    2 main bedroom

    3 living room

After I got disconnected from my ex Phone supplier I did cut physically the phone cable at the point of connection in the living room, to where I have the connections to the other 2 points in the house.

I did reverse the connections in the PC room, main bedroom and living room, so the beginning point is now the PC room, from the netgear router I got a phone cable to the socket in the wall in the PC room, from there the rest of the points got signal and currently working with no problems at all, and I keep using the phones I had
