SPEED DIAL HARRY is running again.i tipped him last time and he won.that was a 7 furlong race in a class 2 and this is a 1 mile race in a class 3.he has won 1 mile races in class 5 well and placed a few times recently so he is very consistant.might get good odds on him as this is class 3.VERY GOOD HORSE THOUGH.

Solid mention & i think he can at least place, worried about one or two others is why i'm not confident of an outright win, he's solid pp material!

15/2 with boyles at the moment, nice each way chance considering it's a 12 horse race.

Paddypower Special in this race also.....If your horse finishes second to Bravo Maestro, They will refund your losing win single stake.

Are you not worried by this horses record on polytrack?

I'm not worried about it at all, cause I'm not backing it ;) I'm going with Bravo Maestro, I'll probably eat my hat but my lucky 15 is done now.

i am more worried abot the draw he has as we have all seen especially in the last couple of weeks the draw you get is so important.

The draw is important too, for a horse who looks to come from behind stall 1 is far from ideal, he could either be left in front or could be boxed in.

His record on polytrack is awful, only ever had 1 3rd in 10 or so races at Lingfield or Wolverhampton, all of his better results where on Fibresand.

This is why I hate AW/polytrack racing. Speed dial harry second last, Bravo Maestro not much better.

I stay well clear of it myself. My advice to anybody backing on it is firstly as I've hinted to understand the difference between fibresand and polytrack, a lot of people think that a horse that wins at Southwell should be able to win at Lingifeld, they are two totally different surfaces.

Secondly go with jockeys with proven records on the particular course, with the tracks to tight so much depends on the jockey being in the right place at the right time.

And finally the draw is crucial, always always check www.startingstalls.co.uk before making a selection.

i know some people despise lingfield and southwell but i prefer them.when i see a horse run a good race i take note of it and 7 out of ten times he wins his next race.it is the same horse so it will run pretty much the same in its next race.as for jump races one very bad jump and youve lost.WATERSIDE ran a very good race and finished very well in this race today and i gurantee you he will finish in the top three in his next race.

I hate it cause its as bent as 3 pound note,

its madness backing on the AW, everyone is pulling a stroke on the AW (jockeys, trainers etc)

I'd say the trainers and jockeys are laughing all the way to the bank when the lay their non-triers on betfair (it would be foolish to think they don't)

You're not alone there.I like flat racing on turf but I very seldom, in fact never bet on "all weather" racing as I just don't feel like you get value for your money as a spectacle. What really bamboozles me is people who bet on Computer racing-Steeple Downs:rolleyes:, and the like.

There's a guy who resides in my local bookmaker and he seems to have found de secret to picking ridiculously priced horses on the steepledowns virtual racing thing! How does i have no idea !!! Such pot luck ! But there are ppl who consistently bet on it . So I suppose on the bookmakers part it's a stroke of genius. Virtual racing, virtual greyhounds . . . whats next, virtual soccer ???!!! I'd have a quid or two on that !

It's just a tool to rid troubled gamblers of their money. Most of them approach real horse racing in the same way that they approach the virtual one. There are some people who you see consistantly going into bookies, I often wonder where they get their money from.

Anyway, that has very little to do with Lingfield's 3:30.

EDIT: What a crap post to mark 3,000

3,000? You bastard, I've some catching up to do! :p

On a serious note, I agree, virtual racing is a farse and I'd never ever bet on it. It's retarded IMHO. I do see the same people in paddy power's *everyday* in shannon, although I haven't been in there in a while, it's the same four old men in the same four seats. They bet on every race, 5 or 10 quid on each race, maybe it's their retirement money - I've no idea.

and WATERSIDE wins today which was his next race.and could have got him at 14/1
