Well the JB is one of the most popular pickups in the duncan range, however slash uses 59's so Id say that would be nice for a guns'n'roses sound. I really nice combination is the JB bridge with a '59 neck.

Bear in mind that vintage pickup designs usually come with vintage outputs, so while Slash might have the money to invest in all sorts of crap to boost his signal level, you're going to be rather dsiappointed in this day and age by the output of a vintage pickup such as the APH1.

Also, a regular humbucker isn't going to fit in a P90 sized cavity, so your options are really limited here, you might be looking at getting custom pickups made into P90 covers.

Can't understand why anyone would want Slash's tone

I have two guitars I use with Seymour Duncans in them,

    Les Paul Style
Has a 59 Bridge and a Jazz Neck sounds brilliant output is fine as I am going through a Boss GT-6 also.

    Telecaster Thinline
I have put a Pearly Gates in this one at the bridge position and this thing can really put out a great sound Not oevrly excited about the single coil I put in it but the pearly gates is smashing..

Have a look on Seymour Duncan's Website and you can listen to each pickup..

hah i feel really stupid but i dotn have p-90's i asked my mate yesterday cause he has the same gutiar as me and he said he had p-90's so io assumed mine had em too. iv got 490T Alnico magnet humbucker in my sg. so will it fit now :P .

So why would you spend money replacing a 490T with something which is pretty much the same pickup? If you want to sound a bit more like Slash turn up your mids, you're not going to notice that much of a difference in the two pickups and you'll be wondering where your €100 is. The 490T is Gibson's current take on their own late 50's Alnico II magnet pickups, which is what SD did to create the APH 1.

Not knowing what amp you have I can't say.

Basically, you want a tone that's got an awful lot of mids, often with an eq pedal, heavily overdriven rather than distorted and the rest is in your fingers.
